Abstract:

The study focuses on population ageing in the three most populated Czech cities – Prague, Brno and Ostrava. This article is based on an analysis of general national statistics of the urban population, but it also introduces new results from a recent representative survey dedicated to the perception of changing urban environments by the ageing inhabitants themselves.
